This animation is pretty tripy. When I watched it, it definitely made me feel uncomfortable, and it is supposed to. I am assuming that Criak’s goal was to speak to that subconscious part of yourself and say hey guys really, you can rationalize all of this consciously, but there is still a part of you that you are not always aware of that knows better, and for me that is the part that was brought out in viewing this video.
I especially appreciated his use of modern day iconic faces throughout, they all seem to posses almost demon like characteristics. And I also really liked that through the animations he reproduced fractal like Fibonacci scale qualities. He did this by using repetition in combination with movement and form. It takes some skill to pull this off. He definitely knows what he’s doing.
